Jay B. Franklin

Jay Franklin received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth in 1963. He joined General Dynamics in 1963, was assigned to the structures group, and progressed to the classification of Assistant Structures Engineer. He served as Supervisor of Engineering and Construction for the Tarrant County Hospital District from 1971 to 1982. He joined Parker Croston Partnership as a Specification Writer in 1982 and remained there until 1991 when he came to MALONEY ASSOCIATES CONSULTING ENGINEERS.

Franklin produces plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and electrical designs. He performs shop drawing and specifications review for all projects. Franklin coordinates projects and performs HVAC calculations. He is also an experienced CAD operator. Franklin has served as specification writer or designer for the following hospital projects:

- New Parking Garage, John Peter Smith, Fort Worth, Texas.

- New Administration Building, John Peter Smith, Fort Worth, Texas.

- New Psychiatric Facility, John Peter Smith, Fort Worth, Texas.

- New Trauma Facility, John Peter Smith, Fort Worth, Texas.

- Three floor addition and expansion to Osteopathic Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas.
